Activities for kids
How is summer going for you mama's? Are your kids bored yet? Today I'm linking a few fun ideas to keep your kids busy and happy.
1. Marshmallow and toothpick building. Between the snacking and building this keeps them entertained for awhile.
2. Kid made bird feeders. I love how this uses a toilet paper roll.
3. Love the idea of a backyard scavenger hunt. Perfect activity to do with neighbor friends.
4. How to make pet rocks. I swear my daughter would never tire of this.
5. Summer science for kids. Tons and tons of ideas.
6. A bored jar is probably something every house needs, reading over the list gave me some great ideas.

Friday Faves
Happy Friday! I feel like its been a while since I've shared my Friday Favorites so I'm super excited about todays posts. My family and I have officially wrapped up the first week of summer break! Yay!! We've been vacationing in CA and so far so good. Summer is always just as amazing as you remember it.
A few of my summer favorites:
1. I like to go light on my makeup in the summer. I am obsessed with this skin tint. Light coverage and it has an SPF 23. You'll love.
2. Native's will forever and ever and ever be my favorite summer shoes for kids. Sturdy play shoes, no socks, can get wet, never stink, never fall off.... THE BEST.
3. Favorite swim suits for myself? This one, this one and this one.
4. Sunglasses at the top my list. These hexagon Ray Bans. Obsessed.
5. This sun star beach towel has a special place in my heart.
6. I will forever love these flip flops. Every mama needs a pair.
7. Give me all the sea grass woven totes! Love this one and this one.

Backyard Beauties
Is there a certain place that makes your heart sing? I've traveled the world and lived in several states. Yet my happy places will always be my parents backyard in summer. A creek runs through the edge of their property, large oak trees that offer the perfect shade, lots of lush grass, berry bushes and fruit trees of all sorts. There really are no words to describe how magical it feels.
