OUT AND ABOUT: SEATTLE

Our March boxes are almost gone and if you snagged one already, you know our March curator, Cori Robinson from Dress Corilynn, filled them to the brim with fantastic goodies. One of our favorite things about Cori is how often she takes her kids on adventures. This brave mother of four doesn’t let a little thing like rain keep her from exploring in the Emerald City. Read more about Cori’s favorites around town in Seattle.

In Cori’s words….

We may be slightly biased, but my littles and I think living in Seattle is just about the greatest thing since sliced bread. We’ve moved a lot over the past several years and lived in cities all over the Western United States, but Seattle is without a doubt our favorite and the place we are happy to call home. The Pacific Northwest is pretty magical, (it’s not all rain and dreary days despite what you’ve been told) and there are endless things to do with little ones in the Emerald City and around the Puget Sound. What I love most about living in Seattle is how you get a little bit of everything: outdoors, city, water—we’ve got it all. We love to spend time in the city, up hiking in the hills, exploring tide pools, tossing a football and flying kites at our favorite beach parks, or riding a ferry over to one of the islands for lunch or a little ice cream. When we’re in the city we always hit up Pike Place Market to watch the fishmongers throw the fish and we pretty much always grab a bouquet of fresh blooms from the flower vendors. It’s just a quick hop over street to The Crumpet Shop, which we never miss. We also love walking the waterfront and visiting Seattle’s amazing aquarium. I love navigating the city with my ducklings, and seeing them react and respond to all the noises and smells and people. When we’re not traipsing around downtown we love to spend a day at the beach on the Puget Sound. Children come alive on the beach, and I love to watch my littles explore the tide pools, build epic sand forts, and chase waves. If nature is the best classroom, a great beach is Harvard in my opinion and I'm glad my kids have the opportunity to spend so much of their childhood next to the water. Life is good on the Upper Left Side!
